It finally got hot around here, but it's pretty humid too. I don't mind too much, but the floors are slippery and it makes walking around the house an adventure!

I'm trying to get creative, and it's really a challenge. Hopefully, I'll get inspired and come up with a cool new logo.

Never is getting his booster shots this week, and on July 10th he'll be heading off to the trainer's barn to learn how to pick up his feet without a fight and get started under saddle. He'll be there for as long as I can afford it, so I'll have a nice, well mannered equine good citizen. Hope will probably be the next to go for training, or possibly Willow, as soon as her toe crack has finally grown out.

Alex is growing like a weed, and he's turning out to be a very handsome horse. At a little over a year old he's almost as tall as his dam, who's 14.2 hands. His sire is about 14.3 or so, but I think Alex may possibly top 15 hands. I guess his grandsire on his dam's side was 15.2, so it is possible.


And I broke down and joined Facebook, as it seems all of my friends are there. I already had a MySpace page, but I decided to make a separate page for my photography business. I made one for Facebook too, so if anyone wants to friend me or be a fan, search Duchess Hill Photography.
