Well, it's been a year since I've written a journal entry.  I guess it's time for an update. Never went for training last summer, and came back a better boy.  He's still pushy and food dominant, but only toward horses.  He's much better behaved with his feet and for the vet, and had some time under saddle, so I count it money well spent. Rho-Dawn, my chestnut stallion, was humanely euthanized a couple of weeks ago.  He was a good boy and passed peacefully.  I have one foal by him, Alex, and was hoping to get another, but it was better this way.  He'll be missed. It finally got hot around here, but it's pretty humid too.  I don't mind too much, but the floors are slippery and it makes walking around the house an adventure! I'm trying to get creative, and it's really a challenge.  Hopefully, I'll get inspired and come up with a cool new logo. Never is getting his booster shots this week, and on July 10th he'll be heading off to the trainer's barn to learn how to pick up his feet without a fight and get started under saddle.  He'll be there for as long as I can afford it, so I'll have a nice, well mannered equine good citizen. First, the Name your Dream Assignment contest deadline is April 3, so if you haven't visited the site you should do it soon http://www.nameyourdreamassignment.com/the-ideas/christeljoy73/.  They've clarified how the contest works:  after April 3, they'll take the top 20 voted on projects and put them before a panel of judges.  The judges then decide who wins.  So all I have to do is get in the top 20.  Seeing as I only have 11 votes for each project, I've got a long way to go!
